Weezer Pinkerton Tour?
Well, it’s a possibility according to this article from NME. It says that Brian Bell (one of Knoxville’s favorite sons) is “praying” that they do the entire Pinkerton record on tour since the deluxe edition of Pinkerton is in stores on October 5th.

Personally, this would get me back to seeing Weezer in concert. I have been a longtime fan (except for this whole Raditude ordeal…) and I haven’t seen them live since Maladroit, mainly because I’m a nerdy purist and I believe that Pat Wilson needs to stay behind the drums.
But Pinkerton live? This would bring back some great memories for me (no pun intended with this also being the theme and title of Weezer’s new single). The first time I saw Weezer was on the Pinkerton tour in 1997 at Ziggy’s in Winston Salem, NC. After the show we hung out with the band and I had a very rock dork discussion with Rivers about various distortion pedals while the rest of my group chatted up Matt Sharp. Of all the Weezer shows under my belt, this was the show that stands out. The Mykel and Carli magic was still in the air (I believe they were there as well) and the band was in top form.
A 2010 Pinkerton tour. Sign me up.
