First off, thank the lord above for streaming Netflix…. let’s face it… there isn’t a good movie rental place in Jersey City, NJ, or at least one that doesn’t scare the holy shite out of me. They’re all tucked in between dirty buildings and they still have sunfaded posters up for “Batman and Robin” and the first “Fast and the Furious” film.. and for all I know… all of the films are on Betamax.

But Netflix, oh Netflix. You may not have been able to access their website this weekend, but you could still stream to your respective machines - ours being the Tivo HD. Thankfully I added Big Fan to our queue earlier this week.

First off… this film isn’t funny. Sure, it has it’s moments when you laugh a bit, but it is FAR from the comedy that most people will assume it is when they see that Patton Oswalt is the lead.

Here at sonicdork - we don’t like to give away any spoilers - we learned our lesson when we ruined Citizen Kane for you when we told you that Rosebud was a New Jersey stripper who danced at “Juicy Delights” in Bayonne…. sorry for that. It was never a sled. Look deeper, people!

Anyway, take our word for it (however much that may be worth) and check out Big Fan. Depressing as hell, but dammit…. I want to watch it again right now.
