Since I’m official now, I feel it’s my duty to remind you that we’re entering the second week of the WFMU Marathon for 2011. Unlike other radio stations that sell out to corporations and horrible record companies (Yes, I’m looking at you Interscope), WFMU relies solely on donations and support from its listeners. That gives them the freedom to play music/bands you won’t hear anywhere else, but also allows the freedom for Tom Scharpling and Jon Wurster to work their magic every Tuesday night from 9-Midnight EST without commercial interruption.
The Best Show on WFMU’s 2nd Week Marathon Show is this Tuesday night and both he and WFMU can really use your support. A pledge of $75 or more will get you the 2011 Don’t Stop Me Now Fantasy Pack which includes the “Rated GG” 7inch single featuring cleaned up versions of GG Allin songs by artists such as Ben Gibbard, Ted Leo, Fucked Up and more!
