so long new orleans.
What a fantastic city. Kristen and I hated leaving this morning. I love a city where you can walk to everything you need (well, at least in the French Quarter). We enjoyed the hell out of it and we hope to go back soon. Hell, I could even live there. It was a bit depressing driving back into Atlanta this evening. Sure, it’s nice to be back in my own apartment…but this city doesn’t mix very well with us. Doesn’t exactly feel like “home” and it probably never will. It doesn’t feel exciting at all either. It’s a decent place to live but I don’t think I’d ever tell anyone “you HAVE to move to Atlanta.” Maybe we should move to New York.
Gained a lot of weight in NOLA, in fact, I’m back to the heaviest I’ve ever been. SOOOO back to counting points as of right now. Back to cutting back on fast food and sugar. Back to losing weight. I’d love to get down to 220 before I turn 30 (numbers. numbers). I believe it can happen. And since I’m over 400 miles away from those beignets, I know it can.
