I love talk radio. I loved hosting talk radio when I had the chance, and I enjoy listening to it whenever I get the chance. I’ve been listening for 680 The Fan quite a bit and Clark Howard on WSB. After Clark, Sean Hannity comes on WSB. Being a hardcore liberal, I’ll listen to him for a laugh… and man… does he bring the laughs. Yesterday he was talking about the amazing “Freedom Concerts” he’s bringing around the country….and he kept playing “God Bless The USA” over and fucking over….and then he made the announcement that Lee Greenwood would be at EVERY concert. Thank God!

Sure, I’m patriotic. I enjoy being an American and I believe America can do so much more….. but “God Bless The USA” is one of the worst fucking songs ever written. David Bowie’s shitstorm of a track, “Magic Dance” (from Labyrinth), makes me feel more patriotic. “GBTUSA” brings back post-9/11 memories of going to Macado’s karaoke and hearing a tonedeaf guy named “Sarge” sing it, wearing an American flag button-up cowboy shirt, and finishing the song by placing his homemade “Proud To Be An American” baseball hat on his head and saluting. I’m sorry. I can’t make this shit up. Those are the fans of this song, and may God have mercy on their souls.

So Lee Greenwood will be at every Hannity “Freedom Concert”. Buy your tickets now! Oh, and thanks to Blimpie for giving Lee the time off to tour. That was great of you Blimpie.
