I remember sitting in the living room on 8th Street, watching MTV with Mom, when MTV News broke in with news of Freddie’s death. I was just starting to REALLY get into Queen….and the news hit me hard. I remember tearing up… especially after watching the premiere of “The Show Must Go On”….which strangely premiered after the announcement of Freddie’s death..
It’s hard to believe it’s been 16 years… that Freddie would have been 61 years old this year, had he survived. He’s still the greatest rock singer to ever live….and Queen still remains my all-time favorite band.
