welcome to the working week.
Had a great weekend. Kristen is finally on the mend and feeling better. Took me forever (and 20+ phone calls) to find a doctor that would see us on Friday… finally found one… a really old school doctor that has to be close to retirement. He was even carrying around a medical bag. How often do you see doctors carrying those these days? She got some antibiotic action, and she’s feeling fine.
On Saturday….The Brothers Gore filled in for Avery Gibbs’ blues band. Reallllly odd having some Southwest Virginia boys filling in for another SWVA boy. Small world. We played over three hours….. and my voice is still low and wabbly….and my throat is sore….all for the sake of rock! And we have another show tomorrow night! The Bros Gore rock train is moving right along.
We bought Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii last night. Kristen is actually getting quite good at it… I think she’ll be a master before you know it. I like the fact that it uses the real songs for many of the tracks, and I enjoy playing Weezer and the mighty Scorpions…..so I’m happy.
