The soundtrack to our recent Midwest trip would probably have to be Amy Winehouse’s “Back To Black”. We kept hearing tracks on Sirius (which came with the rental car) and eventually we broke down and bought the CD at a store (buying cd’s at record stores…imagine that…sigh) in Madison, WI. Kristen and I had both initially hated Amy Winehouse, but after reading her interview in SPIN, and seeing how fucking batshit crazy she was, we fell in love. Great album…. supposedly amazing live performances…when the chemicals actually allow her to perform. This performance at the EMA’s in Munich….well….the chemicals won. You have to worry for Amy after seeing this.
