A woman came up to me at Belk tonight and asked if she could use the Sears buggy that had somehow made it into the store. I told her why not and that if anyone gave her any problems, just tell them that I said you could.
“I’m Ricky Belk. This is my store.”
I’m certain she pushed the buggy full of stolen goods out of the store and into the mall after this exchange.

Such a brilliant man. I have him to thank for my two favorite record stores of all-time - Safe As Milk (Roanoke, VA….missed) & Low Yo Yo Stuff (Athens, GA and open again!).
